New toy

I found this cute little cutting board recently and couldn't resist as it was on sale for half price. I noticed it because a lady was demonstrating how easy it is to use, and you know how much I hate to cut little pieces for quilting - especially triangles. This little cutting board rotates, so you don't have to keep repositioning the fabric - and it is very firm, not wobbly as you might expect. I really like using it. It's made by Fiskars.

  1. Cool! I've seen those and they sure look handy. I see your scissors laying there...you do have a rotary cutter and ruler, don't you?

  2. Yes, I do. I found a great ruler that is thick, crystal clear and has ridges on the back to grab the fabric. The only thing wrong with it is that it's difficult to find the numbers (measurements) on it. I'm on my third rotary cutter. I've seen one that automatically lowers the blade when you use it, but I can't find it in the stores. A friend has one, but she got it as a gift from HV, so she doesn't know how to get one.
